Front body sitting on shock mounts!

I am tearing down and Imp to repair. I found the front body sitting on the shock mounts, with a hole in the fiberglass body from rubbing. The gas tank was also sitting on the front frame--with a big dent in it. I see the back of the body mounts to the shock frame--is their supposed to be a metal mount from the front shocks to the body like the rear?
