My original '70 Imp does not braces to should up the fenders, so I wonder if your "floppy" fenders are damaged some how. The fenders are solid and the high peak shape of them makes them strong.
What do you want to know about the Dietz lights? They look pretty much like the 7" chrome headlight shells you get nowadays. They are engraved on the outside with the Dietz name and some other information.
BTW, my Imp does have brackets that go from the shock towers to the headbucket mounting point underneath.
