Late Imp front apron (license plate area) Q...

Hey all (and Tuna:))

Does the late Imp front apron come straight down below the leading edge of the hood at the back of the license plate area?

I have an early style Imp with the front apron that curls under and literally around the steering box and I realized I would have a problem. I intend to mount my Imp on a 3" body lift for offroader reasons and that would put the steering box right into the fiberglass of the nose.

If the late hood has a flat wall there that will not have a fit problem I may approach Unique to see if they would be willing to sell a hood without a body.
