Poly Seat Mounting--what height seats?

I have an impi Emp and am ready to mount a set of poly seats with sliders. The previous seats were mounted using the old VW frame--about 4-5" off the pan. What seat height are you guys using--just bolted to a frame on the pan (as low as it will go) or build a frame like the original I pulled out? I haven't built my roll bar yet, so am not restricted for height...yet..
