Der neue VW 411 Pierre Berger's Custom 411

Tom's Type 4 Corner is dedicated to the most unloved Volkswagen, the Type 4 series. The unconventional styling never made it very popular and the innovations it introduced confused many. This site intends to share the inner beauty of the Type 4.

Well, things are still going on around here. The registry below has fallen to the side, as more pressing matters reared their ugly head. That is a project that I will be working on as I get free time, but don't hold your breath for anything in the near future. On a positive note, more and more people are seeing the 411/412 series as viable candidates for restoration. The number of message posted on the 411/412 forum at shoptalkforums.com has been steadily increasing. I'm hoping that more of you will join us and help bring some exposure to the 411/412 series.

There is something really exciting happening at the Shoptalk Forums' 411/412 Forum. We are in the midst of organizing a Type 4 (and Type 3, maybe) car club, along with a 411/412 Registry. Of course I've volunteered to handle the club's web site. So, if you are a Type 4 owner, or just a fan like myself, stop in and join in the fun!

It's almost been two years since I last posted an update to this site. It's not that I dropped out of the VW world, but just dealing with some personal and family issues, and concentrating on a few new projects. I will be spending this summer working on getting some new stuff for this site. I hope that you will stop in occasionally and check out my progress. If you currently own a 411 or 412, or you'd love to have one, feel free to stop in at the ShopTalk Forums, specifically at the the 411/412 Forum and join the rest of us. It's amazing what you can learn from fellow owners at this forum. Stay tuned for more information here at Tom's Type 4 Corner
